You might be an entrepreneur if . . .
7 & Under: You might be an entrepreneur if . . .
1. Your “work” clothes also double as workout attire, bathrobes, or cleaning rags.
2. Afternoon naps and midnight work sessions are not scheduled on your calendar, but happen often.
3. Writing on your home office walls is normal (using post-it pads, chalkboard paint or whiteboard paint).
4. You batch your out-of-the-home-office meetings so that you have to get ready for public viewing as little as possible.
5. You day dream about having a steady paycheck.
6. You thank your lucky stars you don’t have to go to a traditional office environment, steady paychecks were overrated anyway.
7. When you think about applying for a “real job” you realize that no one would hire you because you’d probably take over the company.
Allie’s extra #7. There is nothing else you could possibly do with your life than be your own boss!

You might be an entrepreneur if…
Enclose spaced, offices called “cubes” or references to “cubeville” push you to the nearest window seeking a fast escape from upper management…
Love the article Allie!

This is so true, it scares me. Especially 5 and 6 are feelings that go through my head daily!

When I first started working from home, I would wear my lingerie and heels as I typed away my emails, marveling at how great my life was. I was a sexy, single, home-based entrepreneur. The lingerie phase lasted a while, but eventually it slipped downhill. Tank tops replaced lacy, push-up bras and teddies. Sweats replaced boy shorts. Up until recently, my bathrobe served as creative, work-wear. Now, I’m back in a daily zone of jeans and sweaters. Although, the sweats, robe, and boy shorts are frequent replacements. But the lacy days are pretty much done. Too much chaffing.

Wow! How we can all relate to all this! I am definitely an entrepreneur! I am still in my pjs working on some online products. I plan to get a full-time job soon because my finances are shot, but it will NOT be in a cubicle world! It will be overseeing an ESL program. Forgoing the late afternoon naps will be a sacrifice! But then having a steady paycheck will be something I have not experienced in 4.5 years! Stay tuned for more from Habla Language Services!
